Welcome to Beavertail. The site is currently in beta testing. If you found this site, please sign up and try the site out and let us know what you like, didn’t like or other improvements.
What is the site all about? It’s a place where you can post news and other people are able to add additional context through the verify and refute options underneath every article. We hope this will give events a more rounded view with lots of information in one place.
Because the term “news” is extensive, we’ve come up with a few posting guidelines:
- try and keep to the who, what, where and how and avoid opinions.
- avoid posting about the same event twice. If there is already a submission of the same event, add your information under the verify or refute tabs of that submission.
- be respectful; posts that have or show interference with first responders will be removed. Users that impede work of first responders to get photos, videos and content will have their posts removed and may face a permanent ban.
- no sale posts, charity, fundraising, or social events
- no celebrity/influencer posts (ie: celebrity A wore X; celebrity B said Y.)
- absolutely no besmirching, witch hunting or purity testing (creeping social media to find statements separate from the topic to attack and discredit the individual ie: Person A said B about C and also said on a 1678 social media post that they dislike puppies.)
